The Association at the Chinese Tower
The Chinesischer Turm e.V. is a small Munich association. It cares for Bavarian beer garden culture and the customs at the Chinese Tower in the English Garden, which by tradition go back to 1 April 1792. What the association is, and what it is not
The association does not run the beer garden or any catering. The beer garden at the Chinese Tower, with around 7,000 seats, is run by Haberl Gastronomie. The association looks after what grows up around it: the regulars' table, knowledge of the place and the people who carry both forward.
Association life
- Membership Members are people who come to the regulars' table on the first Saturday of the month and become known to the group. Dues are 10 euros a month.
- Volunteering Join in without prior knowledge, as much or as little as suits you.
- Kocherlball 2027 Sunday, 18 July 2027, from 6 a.m. at the tower. The organiser is Haberl Gastronomie.
