Events at the Chinese Tower
The Chinese Tower keeps its own festive calendar, and it has followed the same rhythm for decades: a monthly Stammtisch, brass music all summer, the Kocherlball in July and the Christmas market in Advent. This page collects all dates, with a calendar download for your phone.

The Stammtisch: first Saturday of the month
The association's open regulars' table meets every first Saturday at 3 pm in the beer garden. Guests are welcome, no registration needed; plenty of members are happy to switch to English. See how to get involved.
Brass music from the tower
On summer Sundays and public holidays, and in fine weather on Wednesdays and Fridays too, a brass band plays from the first floor of the pagoda over the beer garden. No tickets, no programme; you sit down, and the music comes from above. Background on our traditions page.
The Kocherlball: Sunday, 18 July 2027
The highlight of the year: on the third Sunday in July, Munich dances in traditional dress from 6 am under the tower. Free admission, up to 15,000 visitors. Everything about the historic servants' ball is on our Kocherlball page.
The Christmas market
From late November until just before Christmas Eve, the square turns into a Christmas market in the park, with curling lanes, tower brass players and St Nicholas visits. Details on the Christmas market page.

Do the events cost admission?
No. Stammtisch, brass music, Kocherlball and Christmas market are free to attend; you only pay for what you eat and drink.

When will the Christmas market dates be confirmed?
Usually in autumn; we update the Christmas market page and the calendar file as soon as they are official.
