Chinesischer Turm e.V. is a Munich heritage association. Its purpose is the care of Bavarian beer garden culture at the Chinese Tower. This section is the written part of that task: not marketing and not a guidebook, but what we know about this place and can document.

What you will not find here: reservations, opening hours or menus. The beer garden is run by Haberl Gastronomie, not by the association.

Frequently asked questions

Does the association run the beer garden?

No. The beer garden at the Chinese Tower is run by Haberl Gastronomie. Chinesischer Turm e.V. is a heritage association and does not operate any catering.

Can you bring your own food?

Yes, in the self-service area of a traditional Bavarian beer garden. Details are on the beer garden law page.

Can you climb the Chinese Tower?

No. The first floor is reserved for the brass bands.
